China per-capita GDP kept low level in the world at the beginning of 1990, with the economy growing, China per capita GDP rose step by step, from ¥1644 in 1990 to ¥23648 in 2008, it grew by 14 times in the 18 years.
Thanking to Reforming and Openning policy carried by China government, during the period of 1990-1996, China per capita GDP grew fast than anytimes.
Despite of high growth in per capita GDP, China still is a developing country and the per capita GDP was ranked low in the world, according to the International Monetary Funds, China ranked No.100 in 2008, with a per capita GDP S5970, and World Bank ranked China 89 in 2008.
