“Due to the quality of fuel can not meet the emission standard, China can not implement nation-wide Euro IV emission standard so far.� CAAM asserts this in a report to Ministry of Environmental Protection of the People’s Republic of China (MEP).

This report was made as a reply to MEP for suggestion about implementation of Euro IV. According to MEP’s schedule Euro IV emission standard will be implemented nation-wide next January for HDT and July for passenger vehicles.

CAAM even posted this report on its website.

China has implemented Euro IV emission standard in Beijing and Shanghai last July and this November respectively, and for the rest area of China, the standard are still Euro III.

“Compared with a urgent implementation, we prefer implement the current standard (Euro III) thoroughly first� CAAM says.
